Day 10

It finally stopped raining today! Everything got started off with mass at the chapel on site. It was really nice not having to go anywhere to get to church. The priest was really cool and said some really nice things about me to all the girls. He didn´t know I was able to understand most of what he was saying and I didn´t let on.

Afterwards it was a series of one vehicle after another getting stuck in the mud while the visitors were trying to leave. Afterwards we got started on the gazebo. The heat was back in full effect and the ground in that spot was almost concrete already. I got them all done though, and most of the other dirt work as well. Hopefully we can have the concrete poured and begin construction by next Monday.

As always there was a lot of play time with the girls on the trampoline and various other games. The girls did go to bed early because they are all waking up at 5am to get ready for school. Tonight with the Madres was great again. Every day I feel like I am getting more and more fluent. For a good 2 hours I talked and joked with the Madres about everything from the gigantic mosquitos to pretty much my life story. One major thing we talked about was the cultural differences between the US and Mexico. Its really interesting to hear their perspective on the social issues facing the two countries.

Tomorrow should be filled with work if the rain will again hold out. Salud a todo.
