This morning I woke up late. Really late. I had a lot of emails to write last night, washed my car, and couldn´t go to sleep after I finally laid down due to my mind racing about this and that. I ate my breakfast at 10:30 and got a little bit of work done before I took off with Ephrian to run all over town for food, auto parts, pick up the cakes for the girls, pick up a vehicle that was at the shop, and then pick up some girls from school. It was a lot of fun seeing yet more of the city I had never seen before.
The most interesting part I had never seen before was driving down the road that runs parallel to the Rio Grande. Seeing Texas just over the river and the contrast between the two areas so close together really got me thinking. I have almost gotten used to the poverty here and have acclimated a great deal to the way life is lived on this side.
After an intense soccer game, we all headed to a piano concert by a man from somewhere in Mexico. He was absolutely amazing. He played music that came from the past 300 years of Mexican history. I have never seen anyone play the piano as well as he did, TV or in person.
After more soccer here I am, fighting off monstrous mosquitos by the dozens. I can´t take it anymore and have to go. Tomorrow is our last day to finish the work before the concrete is poured so it should be tons of fun. Buenas.
